Kelvedon Hatch Res travelled to Writtle on an overcast Thursday evening with Evan Jelliss at the helm.
The Hatch had a good run out and took advantage of the slope in the first half, scoring three goals without reply, with a bit more luck there could have been a hat full bit it was not to be.
The second half saw the Hatch chance things around by bringing on the younger players to gain more experience. A couple of cliches in the Hatch defence saw Writtle score two but the youth and experince held on to win 3-2.
